Privacy Policy

TennisDex ("TennisDex," "we," "us") operates tennisdex.com and app.tennisdex.com — a tennis academy directory and player performance-tracking platform. This policy explains what data we collect through the site and app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Placeholder pending confirmation: this policy refers to TennisDex by its trading name only. The registered legal entity name, registration number, and registered address should be added here before this page is treated as final.

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address (via Supabase Authentication), and, if you fill them in, a display name, bio, and profile photo.

Player and match/performance data. If you build a player profile or log matches, we store what you enter: birthdate/age, playing level, country, dominant hand, play style, years playing, coach and academy name, rankings (UTR, national, ITF, Tennis Europe), and match-by-match data you track (scores, points, stats, notes, momentum/analytics derived from that data).

Video uploads for AI technique analysis. If you upload a video for analysis, we store the video file (in Supabase Storage) and the analysis results generated from it (shot type, technique breakdowns, and related metrics).

Payment data. If you purchase analysis credits, payment is handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number — we store your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and a record of credit purchases/usage (amount, date, credit balance) for billing and support purposes.

Academy inquiries and reviews. If you contact a player through their public profile (as a recruiter/coach) or leave a review of an academy, we store the message, your name, and your email address so the recipient can respond.

Support chat. If you use the live chat widget (Crisp) — which only loads after you accept optional cookies — messages you send through it are collected by Crisp on our behalf.

Usage data. If you accept optional cookies, we collect basic, aggregated usage/analytics data via Vercel Analytics (e.g. pages visited) to understand how the site is used. This does not load unless you consent — see "Cookies" below.

• To create and secure your account, and let you sign in.
• To provide the match-tracking and player-CV features you use.
• To run the AI video analysis you request and show you the results.
• To process payments for credit packs and maintain accurate billing records.
• To deliver academy inquiries and reviews to the intended recipient.
• To respond to support requests.
• Where you've consented, to understand aggregate product usage so we can improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We share data with the specific service providers that power TennisDex, and only as needed to run the service each provider supports:

• Supabase — hosts our database, file storage, and handles authentication. Nearly all data described above passes through Supabase because it's our core infrastructure.
• Stripe — processes credit-pack payments. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we receive back a customer/subscription ID and payment status, not your card number.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (welcome emails, inquiry notifications, receipts). Resend processes the recipient email address and message content for each email we send.
• Anthropic — processes uploaded videos to generate the AI technique analysis you request. The video and derived analysis data is sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose.
• Crisp — powers the live chat widget, only after you accept optional cookies. Messages sent through chat are processed by Crisp.
• Vercel — hosts the application and, only after you accept optional cookies, provides aggregated analytics (Vercel Analytics).

We don't share your data with anyone outside this list, except where required by law (for example, in response to a valid legal request).

Some of these providers operate infrastructure in different countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where your data is processed outside your own country, these providers are responsible for using appropriate safeguards for that transfer.

Honestly: we currently keep account data, player/match data, video uploads, and analysis results indefinitely, until you ask us to delete them. There is no automatic deletion schedule today — for example, an uploaded video and its analysis stay in storage until you or we remove it.

Billing records (credit purchases and usage) are kept as part of your account history for support and accounting purposes. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the data described above, except where we're required to keep limited records (e.g. payment records) for legal or accounting reasons.

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data — or you can edit most of it yourself in your dashboard.
• Delete your account and associated data.

To exercise any of these rights, email tennisdex.com@gmail.com from the email address on your account (if you have an account, you can also start a deletion request from Dashboard → Settings). We currently handle these requests manually — that inbox is actively monitored, and we'll action verified requests as soon as we reasonably can.

TennisDex is used to track junior athletes, and some player profiles belong to minors. If you're creating or managing a profile for a child, you're confirming you're their parent or legal guardian (or otherwise authorized) and that you consent to the data described in this policy being collected for that child. If you believe a child's data has been added without appropriate parental/guardian consent, contact us at the email above and we'll remove it.

We only use two non-essential trackers — Vercel Analytics and Crisp live chat — and neither loads until you explicitly accept cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. If you reject or don't respond, those scripts stay off. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link available on every page.

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS). Our database uses row-level security policies to restrict who can read or write which rows, and administrative access that bypasses those policies is limited to server-side code, not exposed to the browser.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of TennisDex after a change means you accept the updated policy.
